トリニティ少年合唱団 Trinity Boys Choir
  トリニティ少年合唱団

Trinity Boys Choir has enjoyed a busy professional schedule for the past 40 years. The boys, who are all pupils at Trinity School, Croydon, perform frequently in the major UK opera houses and with the principal London Orchestras. They are known particularly for their interpretation of the 'Fairies' in Britten's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', which they have performed on over 150 occasions at home and abroad, including for La Fenice, Venice, La Monnaie, Brussels, and for the Glyndebourne Festival, where they appeared in 2006 for the sixth time. Over the past year they have also appeared in 'Wozzeck', 'Tosca' and 'The Queen of Spades' at the Royal Opera House, and were honoured to perform in HM The Queen's 80th Birthday Prom Concert at the Royal Albert Hall. Recent collaborations have included Sir John Eliot Gardiner and his Monteverdi Choir, with whom they have given concerts in London, Spain, Germany, and Italy, including a performance of Monteverdi's 'Vespers' in St Mark's, Venice, to mark the Monteverdi Choir's 40th birthday. The choir's many recordings include John Rutter's 'Bang', an opera written for the boys, Britten's 'A Boy was Born' with the BBC Symphony Chorus, Walton's 'Henry Vth' with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and BBC Singers, and Britten's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' with Richard Hickox. Forthcoming engagements include 'Tosca' at the Royal Opera House, a European tour of Handel's 'Messiah', and an Armistice Day concert with the BBCSO. There is an article about the choir in the January/February 2007 publication of 'Choir and Organ'.
